Course description
NOT OFFERED 2009 This course introduces students to 'political ecology', a fast-growing interdisciplinary research approach that considers how different groups in society engage in struggles over natural resources in the context of local-global processes. It examines how broader political and economic processes shape local societies in relation to environmental change at various temporal and spatial scales in the 'first' and 'third' world.
