Course description
THIS COURSE IS NOT OFFERED IN 2010. This course will examine a range of ethnographic studies in religion, ritual and performance in contemporary, global and comparative perspective. The course will examine classical and modern studies of world religions as well as anthropological works that range across ritual and control of the environment, symbols and substance in ritual, religious performance and the body, and life stage rituals.
