Course description
A study of the career and influence of Alexander the Great of Macedon. Emphasis will be placed on the character of the Macedonian monarchy inherited from Philip II, on Alexander's conquest of the Persian Empire, and on political, military and cultural developments in the Hellenistic world down to the coming of Rome. This course my not run if there are fewer than 20 enrolments.
