Course description

Accounting involves compiling & interpreting financial information about an enterprise & its activities as a basis for making & evaluating economic decisions about the deployment of resources. Therefore, a basic knowledge of accounting is important for anyone involved in modern enterprises, whether they be profit oriented or government/non-profit entities. The aim of the course is to provide a broad understanding of the accounting discipline to enable students to comprehend, evaluate, interpret, question & intelligently discuss accounting information; & understand the uses, limitations, complexities & evolving nature of accounting.
